Traduzindo poetisas: reflexão sobre o processo de tradução

The article offers a reflection about the process of translating ancient greek poetesses, considering what a translator must know in the act of translation. Furthermore, I ponder over the importance of these translations to the classical studies, and how a translation can be an instrument to the preservation of source texts, using as an example the poem The Distaff, by Erinna.
