Abstract

The text is a review of the book “The Making of the Human: Psychoanalysis, Subjectivity and Culture”, which aims to offer the reader a rich panorama in which different analyses on the manufacture of contemporary experiences around subjective assemblies testify or question the ontological inconsistency of human. The epistemological tolerance, the assumption of immanence of alterity in the manufacture of human and genealogical attitude are brands crossing the chapters of this book in the analysis of different research objects. The book contributes to the critical reflection on subjective impasses today, offering an astute diagnosis of the present.

Author Biography

Cristiane Oliveira, Universidade Federal da Bahia

Professora Adjunta do Instituto de Psicologia da UFBA. Possui graduação em Psicologia (1999) e mestrado (2002) em Saúde Coletiva pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1999). É doutora em Saúde Coletiva, com área de concentração em Ciências Humanas em Saúde, pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2010), com estágio doutoral no Centre de Recherches en Psychanalyse, Médecine et Société da Université Paris Diderot - Paris 7. É tutora da área de Psicologia no Programa de Residência Integrada Multiprofissional em Saúde - COM-HUPES/UFBA. É pesquisadora do grupo "EPOS - genealogias, subjetivações e violências " e coordena a linha de pesquisa "Corpo, Subjetividade e Biopolítica" do grupo "Clínica Psicanalítica: Interfaces, Controvérsias e Perspectivas", ambos cadastrados no diretório do CNPq. É Editora Executiva da Revista EPOS - Genealogias, Subjetivações e Violências. Tem experiência nas áreas de psicologia, psicanálise e saúde coletiva, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: sexualidade, política e modos de subjetivação; clínica psicanalítica em serviços de saúde; corpo, subjetividade e mal-estar na atualidade; corpo, adoecimento e subjetividade; psicopatologia; história das instituições e saberes médicos e psicológicos sobre a sexualidade no Brasil; história da psiquiatria e da psicanálise no Brasil.
