Abstract

Drawing on the belief that each specific time translates in a different way, this article aims at highlighting the importance of a discipline on the History of Translation in a Translator Development course. To this end, some of the various functions which can be attributed to translation are listed.

Diretor da Escola de tradução e de interpretação da Universidade de Ottawa.
