The Journal Media and Everyday Life is four-monthly publication of the Postgraduate Program Media and Everyday Life. The journal's central objective is to disseminate empirical and/or theoretical research on themes related to the field of Communication, with an emphasis on the relationship between media and everyday life. It is classified as Qualis B1 (2017-2020).

2025 Open Calls

The Journal Mídia e Cotidiano has two open calls for the 2025 dossiers. The first is "From mass media to platformization: transformations in the media ecosystem", with a deadline for submission until February 24, 2025. The editors are Adriana Barsotti (UFF), Ana Paula Goulart de Andrade (UFRRJ) and Iluska Coutinho (UFJF). The second is "Communication and Memory: theoretical perspectives and materialities", with a deadline for submission until May 26, 2025. The editors are Ana Paula Goulart Ribeiro (UFRJ), Izamara Bastos Machado (Fiocruz), Rachel Bertol (UFF). The other editions continue to receive submissions on a continuous flow.
