Abstract

This article aims to discuss issues related to intimate visits for women deprived of liberty in the current context of the prison system in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Taking qualitative and quantitative data from primary and secondary sources, document analysis and bibliographical review as a reference, the research proposes to discuss how state decisions related to the distribution of inmates by state units are directly driven by moral representations that impact on autonomy sex of women deprived of liberty. The research shows that the reorganization and management of the imprisoned body, in the specific context, has a direct impact on the consolidation of the right to visit and not access to parlatórios, culminating in an additional punishment process for these women that permeates the moral control of female bodies, strengthening the process of abandonment affection as part of an additional punishment, not provided for by law.
