Abstract

This essay discusses the effectiveness and actuality of the concept of international correspondence in its interrelationship with solidarity between peoples. It reports the creation, during the 60s, 70s and 80s, of a political action network and information of Latin American popular movements that used international correspondence as a solidarity tool. It exposes the concept of bibliographic registration and its role in the perpetuation of memory and exemplifies this through a record of a set of works of international correspondence, arising from the described solidarity network.

  • Arquimedes Celestino, Arquimedes Edições

    Arquimedes Martins Celestino is the administrator and editor of Caminho das Ideias Comunicação e Arte Ltda / Arquimedes Edições (2002-2023). He holds a degree in Financial Management (Universidade Estácio de Sá, 2015). He studied 3 years of the BA in Philosophy (IFCS / UFRJ, 1999-2001), Electronic Publishing (Interface 2000, 1990) and Layout (SENAI, 1988). He was art director at Ideiatrip (2012-2020), Gaia (1995-2000), Icon (1992-1994), Ayuri editorial (1989-1992). He has 30 years of professional experience in the area of Institutional Communication, with an emphasis on serving employer organizations such as Fetranspor (current Semove, 1992-2023) and companies such as Thyssen Krupp (2016-2017), he has also worked as a graphic producer and consultant. He worked as a copywriter, art editor and commercial director in the magazines: Revista Ônibus (2000-2023), Indo Vindo (2011-2016) and Folha Carioca (2013-2015). He edited the magazine LDB Novos Rumos da Educação no Brasil, from SIMPRO-RIO (1991). He edited dozens of books such as: The Book Merchant (2022); The all-open, duration and subjectivity in Henri Bergson (2017); Pommerland The Pomeranian saga in Espírito Santo photographic accompaniment of 100 years of colonization (2012); The Geographies of Soy collection, 3 volumes (2006-2009); New frontiers for biodiesel in the Amazon: limits and challenges in incorporating small agricultural production (2011); The stadium was more cheerful (2010); Globalization and territory, peripheral adjustments (2005).
