THE WORLD OF WORK IN THE THOUGHT OF JOSÉ CARLOS MARIÁTEGUI

In the current transition period of the modern/colonial world-system, Mariátegui's work is still valid? It has something to tell us to understand Latin America and the contemporary world and to think about its transformation? We can find in his reflections the theoretical and political tools that help us model a new, more egalitarian and democratic social order? These are the questions to discuss as an introduction to his reflections on the world of work in Peru in the 1920s. Mariátegui carried out a radical break with the way of examining the problems of our society.
