Resumen

Aunque la relación con el mercado laboral es central para enmarcar las experiencias de los jóvenes, la precariedad y la vulnerabilidad van más allá. En un contexto de policrisis e incertidumbre sobre el futuro, este artículo se centra en las trayectorias vitales de los jóvenes ninis. Entre octubre de 2022 y enero de 2024, se celebraron grupos de discusión y entrevistas en profundidad con partes interesadas de centros de empleo y formación y jóvenes ninis en Portugal para analizar sus aspiraciones, condiciones de vida y estrategias para mitigar las dificultades a través de programas de inclusión en el mercado laboral.

Ana Sofia Ribeiro é investigadora na área da educação e ciências sociais. É licenciada em Ciências da Educação (Universidade de Coimbra, 2002), mestre em Ensino Superior (Universidade de Oslo, Universidade de Tampere, Universidade de Aveiro, 2010) e doutorada em Educação (Universidade de Bielefeld, 2015). Entre 2010 e 2013 integrou a rede de formação inicial Marie Curie EDUWEL, no âmbito da qual investigou o acesso e a participação no ensino superior dos estudantes de primeira geração. Desde 2014 trabalha no Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa, tendo investigado a gestão e o financiamento das escolas e também a resiliência e a participação das crianças na gestão do risco de catástrofes. Atualmente investiga a recuperação da juventude rural nos territórios afetados pelos grandes incêndios de 2017, num projeto financiado pelo programa Estímulo ao Emprego Científico 2017, da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. É também uma das líderes do projeto Tr@ck-IN- Public employment services tracking effectiveness to support rural NEET, coordenado pelo ISCTE e financiado pelas EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment (https://www.track-in.eu/web/). Os seus interesses de investigação atuais prendem-se com a sociologia da educação, a sociologia da infância e da juventude rurais, desenvolvimento humano, catástrofes e metodologias criativas.
João Carlos Sousa, Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal

Licenciado em Sociologia (2009) e Mestre em Sociologia: exclusões e políticas sociais (2013) pela Universidade da Beira Interior. Foi bolseiro de Investigação (2010-2015) nos projetos Agenda dos Cidadãos: jornalismo e participação cívica nos media portugueses (PTDC/CCI-JOR/098732/2008) e Público e privado em comunicações móveis (QREN) ambos desenvolvidos no LabCom da Faculdade de Artes e Letras da Universidade da Beira Interior. Desde Junho 2016 que é investigador do OberCom. Em 2016-2017 foi bolseiro de Gestão Ciência e Tecnologia no OberCom – Palácio Foz. Nesse mesmo ano (Novembro) ingressou no projeto Medida Ligar-Eficiência Energética para todos (ADENE), desenvolvido no Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade de Lisboa. Atualmente frequenta o Programa de Doutoramento em Ciências da Comunicação do ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, a partir de 1 Janeiro 2019 com Bolsa Individual de Doutoramento (SFRH/BD/136605/2018).
