TEACHING PRACTICE IN THE CONTEXT OF PANDEMIA: a view from the teaching experience in a municipal school
Abstract
This research proposed to investigate the teaching experience in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, based on the experience of primary schools teachers, aiming to understand the challenges and possibilities of the teaching-learning process within this context. The research is qualitative in nature, due to its human bias and interpretative approach. For data collection a questionnaire was applied through the Google forms platform, with 10 teachers from a public municipal school in Teresina - PI. The study is characterized as a case study. The data were analyzed based on content analysis. The results reveal that social transformations always demand changes in the way people learn and consume information, however, the pandemic period affected the ways of teaching and learning in a dimension that could not be predicted. The reality experienced by teachers showed how this period has accentuated the inequalities that already existed in the Brazilian educational context even before the pandemic, not yet adequately addressed by governments. The process of insertion of the technologies within this context revealed an incipient scenario regarding the availability of technological resources for teachers and students, as well as the need to train teachers to meet the new demands of the teaching-learning process.
