EDUCAÇÃO E PANDEMIA: COM A PALAVRA PROFESSORES DA REDE ESTADUAL DO MARANHÃO

Several institutions and segments such as education had to adapt to the new situation with the arrival of Covid-19. Thus, the objective of the research sought to analyze the challenges of remote teaching in the context of the pandemic in schools in the state of Maranhão from the perspective of high school teachers. The approach was qualitative, a questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, via Google Forms, which revealed that remote teaching was an emergency alternative that did not work effectively in some schools in Maranhão due to lack of technological resources and internet, nor all students had access to a network and mobile devices compatible with the demand in their homes. The platforms most used by teachers and students were: Google Meet, WhatsApp, Google Classroom and few students were able to follow remote classes. Teachers and the entire school community will need to seek new strategies and methodologies to alleviate the curricular losses caused during this period, facing new challenges and practices to be applied in face-to-face teaching.
