Abstract

TEACHER MALAISE IN THE STATE EDUCATION OF RIO GRANDE DO SUL: WORK, COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND RESISTANCE

Abstract

This article sought to understand the phenomenon of teacher malaise in times of the Covid-19 pandemic in a state school in south of Brazil. For this, semi-structured 6 interviews were conducted with professors, with inferences based on content, categorical and thematic analysis. The study demonstrated that the pandemic and emergency remote teaching reinforced the need to ensure the right to education and human dignity in the face of old and new risks faced by the teaching profession that involve working conditions, symptoms of malaise, student permanence and collective resistance.
