Abstract

The author comments on some aspects of the translating process, based on his own experience as a translator from russian to portuguese. Risking himself in the other's territory, exploring his language, his culture, his style, the translator wins in that process the chance of self-reconstructing.

Paulo Bezerra, USP

Professor livre-docente em literatura russa pela USP, professor de teoria da literatura na UFF, traduziu mais de quarenta obras do russo para o português. Recebeu em 2002 o prêmio Jabuti pela tradução de O idiota de Dostoievski.
