Abstract

This essay aims to reflect on the courses offered by Professor Augusto Ponzio, Professor Emeritus at the Università degli Studi di Bari, based on the political demands of Italian students, in May of this year, in Rome and Bari, Italian cities. Calling into question the relationships we ordinarily establish with texts, the professor and philosopher weaves his lessons, called Seminars, between the years 2019 and 2024, calling for the decentralization of relationships between teachers and students around content-based and abstract teaching. In the Seminars, the very texts that make up the reflections – the critique of identity, the text in ordinary communication and in art, the analysis of globalization as a readable text, literary language, the contemporary languages of digital media – are intertwined with dialogical relationships between master and students, composing a philosophy of language in an educational act. By sharing the planning of the meetings, we glimpse the conception of the world that the teacher assumes, taking the class as a tense, experimental surface, as a dialogical arena in which the many ways of thinking, saying and acting in culture are translated, configuring itself as critical basis against neoliberal ideology in student education.
