The aim of this article is to discuss the insertion of working-class women in EJA, considering the relationship between female work and education and the specificities of female students. To carry out the research, we applied a questionnaire with sociodemographic data; we conducted narrative interviews and made use of the field diary. The results indicate that work assignments figure as drivers for the decision to return to school, but make it difficult to reconcile the work-study routine. The (non) access to education establishes concrete relationships with the material conditions of existence and with the configurations of this public as a workforce.
