Education for the labor market

Abstract

The text analyzes the document Common National Curricular Base (BNCC), relating to the neoliberal policies that influenced its elaboration, and also in the form of the work of teachers, and the reform of high school, which generates the devaluation of Physical Education, which becomes an optional subject. BNCC brings a curricular centralization, emphasizing results, through skills and abilities, and the reform of high school changes some disciplines, among them Physical Education, which starts to suffer a great loss, as it can appear in just one year from highschool. Furthermore, this reconstruction makes the curriculum increasingly technical, in a perspective close to common sense, without criticism and without scientific knowledge, preparing students for the capitalist job market, that is, forming individuals for a mechanized market, ready to obey and work, without questioning the way they are led by their superiors. Thus, it is noteworthy that having a homogeneous curriculum means the homogeneity of the subject.
