Aulas antirracistas: mulheres negras sensacionais
Abstract
This work will highlight an action research section on anti-racist education, focusing on teacher training classes, from the Research and Extension Groupo “Negros e Negras em Movimento” (UFF). The main objective of the project is to carry out intercultural dialogues and develop pedagogical practices concerning African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the classroom, in a qualitative and emancipatory way. The objective of collaborating in strengthening black consciousness is also included in the work, given that racial oppression has produced historical erasure, denial of human rights, and social inequalities that harm life projects. We understand that the subjective constitution of black men and women is a social, cultural and individual construction, in its concreteness of social subjects endowed with corporeality, memory and human desires or aspirations. In the chosen section, Anti-Racist Classes on Sensational Black Women, we use decolonizing theoretical contributions and didactic experimentation, in order to equip future teachers to combat school institutional racism and strengthen the implementation of the DCN's for the Education of Ethnic- racial issues in Education, and Law 10639/2003. The experiences, in the classroom and in the field, resulted in a unique and significant experience, which makes us understand that anti-racist education seeks connections with the ground of black struggle, with the secular struggle after abolition, with recognition of its history, of their participation in the construction of the nation, and for psychological and physical survival. Such education needs to connect with black reality, and help in the re-education of society, emptying the ideologies of whitening and cultural hierarchies.
