We can observe that the cooling of the Arts and the processes of desubjectivation of the individual are closely linked; they are part of the systematized social control scheme implemented by neoliberalism. The Culture Industry plays a role in the atrophy of imagination and the co-optation of subjectivities in the Media Age. This article reflects on the repercussions of this mechanism on education and the resulting impoverishment of creative, emancipatory, and experiential potential. Art classes could contribute to this struggle by helping to rebalance scientific and technological endeavors with the concerns of the spirit.
