Code of Ethics

The Revista Trabalho Necessário complied with good practices regarding moral conduct consistent with scientific journal publishing. The authors who send articles to the journal guarantee that the work has not been published and is not in the process of revision/evaluation in any other journal.

The journal adopts the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and is a signatory of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Evaluation (DORA).

General duties and responsibilities of the journal's editors: the editors and their editorial team are responsible for everything published in their journal. Therefore, editors and editorial team  should:

. strive to meet the needs of the Editorial Council, Scientific Committee, readers and authors;

. constantly improve the journal fostering scientific knowledge socialization concerning ​​Work-Education and / or the fields of knowledge analyzed by the journal;

. guarantee the quality of the material published, following publishing systems’ technological innovation;

. defend freedom of expression and critical dialogue with its editoriais line / policy.

. meet or communicate with the Editorial Board and Scientific Committee periodically or when considered necessary.

. keep the integrity of academic records taking into account the possibility of demonstration to relevant sectors, when necessary.

. prevent commercial and bureaucratic interests (public or private) from compromising publishing  intellectual standards as well as its own conception of publishing.

. publish, when necessary, corrections, explanations, retractions and excuses.

. ensure that the peer review process takes place in a fair, transparent and efficient manner, in accordance with the review policy adopted by the journal.

. analyze the material received for its intellectual content without prejudice to race, gender, sexuality and religion, in accordance with the journal's editorial line / policy.

. establish, with the magazine, a transparent communication line for cases of contestation of the editorial decision.

. do not artificially influence metrics, data and evaluations, ensuring the integrity and reliability of any information presented and classifications obtained by the journal.

. appreciate the confidentiality of the submitted material and the privacy of the authors and reviewers involved with the journal.

. signal to the Editorial Board and Scientific Committee if there is a possibility of any conflict of interest on the part of the editor.
