This study aims at the comparative analysis between the poems of Ruy Belo and Álvaro de Campos, one of Fernando Pessoa heteronymous. Such research, based on the relationship between lyric and visuality in the modern-contemporaneous Portuguese literature, aims at observing in which way the landscape is a construction from the subject's look, in which geographical, historical, literary and cultural references are registered. Our corpus approach includes the recognition of the influence of photography on the poetic text and the importance of the maritime scenario for both Portuguese poets.
